Baroda
Management Association (BMA) is an autonomous, non-political,
non-profit, public (educational) institution, registered under the
Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950.
It
was founded by leading business personalities of Baroda in 1957. It
is a matter of pride for BMA to be a founder member of All India
Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi.
The
All India Management Association (AIMA) is the national apex
body of the management profession in the country. AIMA stewards the
promotion of the best management practices across Indian business
and industry, with 61 affiliated Local Management Associations. AIMA is
represented on a number of policy making bodies of the Government
and on the Boards of Governors of all the Indian Institutes of
Management.
It also maintains close links with a host of overseas
bodies such as the -

Award"

In
1988,
All India
Management Association (AIMA) instituted the Best Local
Management Association Award contest in order to recognize the
efforts and to inspire the Local Management Associations (LMA’s)
to promote various professional activities. BMA has bagged the Best LMA
award
10 times so far for
its outstanding contribution in the promotion of value oriented
management movement in the western region, most recently for the
year
2006.
