Definition of Negotiation: Negotiation is a strategic process of arriving at an agreement by two or more individuals, teams, or groups. It is defined as ‘ an interpersonal decision-making process necessary whenever we cannot achieve our objectives single-handedly.

A Full day MDP was organized on 19th November, 2021 at the Guru Narayan Hall, BMA and the speaker was by Ms. Deval Joshi . She is prolific speaker and trainer providing inspirational speeches and training to corporate, academic institute, hospitals. She has science post graduation and certification of child and human psychology. She has received award of woman achiever and woman startup meet 2020.

Program Officer of BMA, Ms. Shivani Mathur welcomed the speaker Ms. Deval Joshi and all the participants.

Most people are not natural-born negotiators. The research consistently shows that most people can significantly improve their negotiation skills through education, preparation and practice. During a negotiation process, an issues is addressed, a problem is resolved, and a conclusion is derived. Actions are based on what is agreed upon in the negotiation. Having great negotiation skills is an asset.

Awakening the Leader Within You

A leader is someone who can see how things can be improved and who rallies people to move toward that better vision. Leaders can work toward making their vision a reality while putting people first.

A Full day MDP was organized on 12th October, 2021 at the Guru Narayan Hall, BMA and the speaker was by Mr. Uday Dholakia a Certified Leadership Coach, Chief Mentor and a Key-note Speaker , Uday Dholakia has more than 2.7 decades of experience of Enabling Businesses, Companies and Individuals to achieve 2X performance. The intensive MDP was attended by few people who were deeply interested in the subject and remained in the various games etc.

Program Officer of BMA, Ms. Shivani Mathur welcomed the speaker Mr. Uday Dholakia and all the participants.

Mr. Uday Dholakia started with his introduction about career and the hurdles he faced and overcome for reaching this stage of success. After that he started the session with the introduction of all the participants through a very interesting activity. He ask all the participants to just list down the expectations from this MDP, So that he will make sure to include all the points during the program. Mr. Dholakia also suggested a book i.e. 48 LAWS of POWER. He also explained the characteristics and role of leader. He explained by giving many examples of different companies like: Nestle ( Maggie). Another activity was to list down five traits for knowing that “why one should work with me”? Lastly he has done an activity in which one participant has to coach another worker at workplace. Lastly Mr. Dipak Shah President of Baroda Management Association gave the vote of thanks and concluded the session.

Behavioral Based Safety (BS) is a scientific approach to positively reinforce a safe work environment by modulating unsafe behavioral patterns. On learning the concepts of BBS, employees understand that most of these accidents can be prevented by tweaking behavior. Employees understand the importance of safety in the workplace. It inculcates importance and value of safety at workplace and enhance productivity.

Our eminent speaker for the program was Mr. Hitesh Karandikar. An exponent with more than 30 years of experience. Electrical Engineer and MBA in Marketing and Finance, certified lead auditor for Occupational Health and Safety management, OMS, EMS, En MS and a Six Sigma Black Belt also a PGDHRD. There were huge number of participation from different corporate.

Business Data Analytics

The faculty Mr. Jigar Shah is associated with various B- Schools as a visiting faculty. He has vast experience with his software product venture. As an entrepreneur and educator in Business Operations he is a trusted client partner collaborating with clients in their digital transformation.

The one day training program focused on familiarizing participants with the skills and knowledge to use Data Analytics to drive strategic decision making along with operational improvements in business. The course included introduction to Business Data Analytics, relevance of Business Data Analytics with real life applications, the different levels of Analytics – Application of Descriptive Analytics, Predictive Analytics and Prescriptive Analytics. Using that laptops during the practical session the participants got hands on experience also. The training program was attended by 30 participants.

Chanakya in You

Chanakya was a teacher, philosopher, economist, and statesman who wrote the Indian Political treatise, the Arthashastra. He played an important role in the established of the Maurya dynasty. Born in a poor Brahmin family, Chanakya was educated at Takshashila (Now in Pakistan), an ancient center of learning located in the north western part of India. Chanakya was very proud of Chandragupta who was able to win the test. Chanakya gave him rigorous military training for 7 years. Under Chanakya’s guidance, Chandragupta became a capable warrior. Chanakya always wanted to overthrow the Nanda dynasty of Dhanananda and establish the Maurya empire. Chandragupta formed a small army without thinking much and attacked Magadha which was the capital of the Nandas. But Chandragupta’s small army was crushed away in front of the huge army of Nandas. Chanakya’s hand burned at the beginning for making a foolish decision. Chanakya and Chandragupta began to roam in frustration after the defeat.

The MOC Shivangi Yadav started the MDP by introducing about Baroda Management Association and then introduced the President of BMA, Mr. Dipak Shah and invite him to formally welcome the speaker.

Mr. Shailesh Thakkar an MBA Corporate and Educational Trainer, Ex advisor with TRIFED (Govt. of India) and SCOPE (Govt. of Gujarat). He spoke about chanakya Represents, Teacher, Leader, visualize and Base Identify of Chanakya .He also discuss about the seven pillars of a success : Anivikshiki , Mentor, Leader, Manager, Decision Making and Alliance Creator, Up skills and Failure Mindset Phobia. Chanakya Says: “All urgent calls he shall hear at once , but never put off for when postponed, they will prove too hard or impossible to accomplish”. “Student Mentality is a typical mob mentality and even they can’t develop ideal alliances”.

After that he discuss about the Five Vowels for Success, A- Attitude E- Emotional Quotient I- Id O- Opportunity U- Utopia.

After that the participants asked speaker various questions and Shailesh Thakkar the speaker for the event explained them very calmly and participants were also satisfied with answer. Lastly Mr. Kalpesh Shah Hon. Secretary of Baroda Management Association gave the vote of thanks and concluded the session.

Leadership through Emotional Intelligence

Management Development Program (MDP) on Leadership through “Emotional intelligence” was conducted on date 08th September 2021 at the Vivanta (Taj) Hotel by Baroda Management Association. The Faculty Mr. Rajesh Jain, a Corporate Coach, mentor & MD of Epitude, UK has conducted the Program The intensive workshop was attended by few dignitaries who were deeply interested in the subject.

Emotional intelligence (EI) refers to the ability to perceive, control, and evaluate emotions. Some researchers suggest that emotional intelligence can be learned and strengthened, while others claim it’s an inborn characteristic.

President of BMA, Mr. Dipak Shah formally welcome the speaker Mr. Rajesh Jain and all the participants.

Mr. Jain had organized right from the point of introducing -not ourselves, but another participant, he guided the attendees towards self awareness and their own emotional score elaborate questioner. Other such exercises and fan games lead the audience to understand the emotional needs management, other personal relations conflict resolution reducing negatively and negative emotions, addressing ego and anxiety, proper communication and maintaining a positive and calm approach. He spoke about 7 spiritual laws of success, i.e. Law of pure potentially, Law of Giving, Law of Karma, Law of least effort, Law of intention and desire, Law of detachment and Law of dharma. He also explained the skills of self motivation. Cultivating an empathetic personality self through harmoniums and co operative work culture and own spiritual awareness.
